The Biography of Eva Longoria

Eva Jacqueline Longoria was born on March 15, 1975 in Corpus Christi, Texas. The youngest of four sisters, Eva always thought she was adopted because of the fact that her coloring is far darker than any of her siblings. Her family is of Mexican descent, but all of her sisters have fair hair, blue eyes and light skin which is in sharp contrast to her darker skin, deep brown eyes and brunette hair.

Growing up, Eva Longoria spent plenty of time in front of the camera and in the spotlight. She did a lot of print modeling, appeared in a few videos and entered several beauty pageants. Eva was even crowned Miss Corpus Christi USA in 1998.

Meanwhile, Eva attended Texas A & M University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Kinesiology.

After college, Eva entered a talent contest that would change her life. The IMTA (International Modeling and Talent Association) held a talent search that Eva entered and very quickly she was noticed. She met a theatrical agent who quickly signed her and she was off to Los Angeles.

Her very first day in Los Angeles she was able to audition for four different roles. Fairly quickly she landed minor roles on some of the biggest daytime programs like The Bold and the Beautiful, General Hospital and a small part on the series Beverly Hills 90210.

Her first significant break came when she was cast in the role as Isabella on the very popular daytime soap, The Young and the Restless. The role called for a sexy, 25-year-old, Latin woman. After an extensive audition pitted against over 200 other hopefuls, Eva landed the part. She then began a run on the #1 rated soap that truly put her star on the charts.

During this time, Eva Longoria was briefly married to actor Tyler Christopher. Her Las Vegas wedding to Christopher was attended by none other than Sarah Michelle Gellar and hubby Freddie Prinze Jr.

Then came the role that has rocketed Eva Longoria into the international spotlight. Cast in the extremely hot and provocative role of Gabrielle Solis on ABC’s breakout hit Desperate Housewives, Longoria has captivated audiences and won millions of new fans. Eva plays the role of the saucy adulteress perfectly. She along with the other members of the Desperate Housewives cast, have won over critics and viewers alike placing the show high in the ratings and making the show one of the strongest rated new programs to come out in the last few years. The show has become an anchor in the ABC lineup.

Due to her new fame, Eva Longoria has also landed a coveted contract to be a face of L’Oreal Cosmetics. Her contract is very lucrative and has once again shined the spotlight on her classic Latin beauty.

In Eva Longoria’s personal life, she now resides in Los Angeles where she has been romantically linked occasionally to former pop star J.C. Chasez. She enjoys many hobbies in her spare time such as Salsa dancing, sewing, rock climbing, motocross, shooting, kick boxing and Yoga.

Eva Longoria is definitely a star on the rise. With her gorgeous looks and amazing acting ability we are sure to see her in the spotlight for many years.
